30D back from Canon repairs

My Canon 30d went awol on me a few weeks ago, 4 days prior to a wedding, luckily i had other bodys:). I'm a happy man as it cost less than we all thought it would, and it is a nice clean image machine again ;-). While it was at Canon they checked the shutter count... 44,273. Sound a lot? That is since November 2006, so 2yrs and 3 mths I've taken that many images. Quite amazing really!.

We've been extremely busy lately, with wedding bookings coming in for next summer and a large commercial shoot we did last weekend. We also have a few model shoots coming up too so keep an eye on here for some new images over the next few months. There'll be some special ones going up within a week, I'm itching to show them, but need to wait until everything is finalized with our client:)

hope you're all having a sponditious day

Ciao!
Mark

Port Lockeroy, Antarctica!

I was on a shoot yesterday and met a Mr Peter Gale, who was in Port Lockeroy in approx 1947!! wow!. for those who don't know Zoe and I spent 5 weeks down in Antarctica in 2007 and spent a bit of that time in Port Lockeroy, so as you can guess Peter and I had an interesting conversation, the best thing was that he was into photography and had a bunch of black and whites from down there that I could check out, the place has changed quite a bit for sure, back then it was English, when we were there it was a Chilean base!. It was awesome to talk to someone about Antarctica who knew what I was talking about, you know how it is, you start gassing on about a place that the other person hasn't been to and they lose interest pretty quickly, or maybe i need to do a 'speaker' course;-), anyway, all good, thanks for the chat Peter, you're a legend and a pure soul!

ps- I've just sent him through around 12 images of Port Lockeroy, cool! :)

Been a while- an image of Fitzroy!

Hi all,
It seems like it's been a while since I have been spreading any word, my apologies :)

So I have a 'word of the day'! I love it!..... Flavour!!! yip you guessed it, flavour!. But in the context of an image, or more to replace the word 'style' in a way. Someone said it to me today in an email(they liked the flavour of my photos) and I thought it was just ace! so expect to hear me saying it from now on.. thanks for my new word Amber! :)

Well I've been quite busy so haven't really been taking anything too dramatic lately, although I was here working when a sunset last week started showing signs of being epic, so here is a shot from that little sojourn. ofcourse it has a little bit of Marky flavour to it ;) hope you enjoy....
